As if the New York Giants didn’t have enough things going wrong this season, now their defensive leader is showing his frustration by calling out fellow teammates saying that they lack heart.
It’s the last thing players on a 3-5 team want to hear, but NJ.com reported that veteran player Jason Pierre-Paul isn’t holding back about what he feels the team is missing.
The defensive end voiced his opinion as the team prepares for Sunday’s game against the defending champion Seattle Seahawks.
“There’s a lot of talking going on, but at the end of the day it’s all about heart, all about that individual and what he’s got.” Pierre-Paul said. “It’s definitely missing from a lot of guys.”
The New York Post noted that he went on to say that every guy in the locker room needs to challenge themselves because without heart, the team will continue to lose games.
The Giants certainly could get it together over the final eight games of the regular season.
In the past, they’ve gotten hot at the right time and went on playoff runs, but this year the 6-2 Philadelphia Eagles and the 6-3 Dallas Cowboys are standing in their way. And keeping things interesting, the left-for-dead Washington Redskins have also won as many games as Big Blue.
