Despite cutting his finger during a preview performance of his Broadway show The River on Wednesday night, Hugh Jackman carried on with his performance.

The Oscar winner is still scheduled to perform on Friday night as planned and did not need to get stitches despite bleeding for quite some time after slicing the tip of his finger.

“Blood was spurting everywhere. It was reminiscent of Dan Aykroyd‘s Julia Childimpression on ‘SNL,'” a witness told New York Post.

Reps for the Circle in the Square Theatre and the actor confirmed the incident to People.

After the show, after getting checked out by medical professionals, he even signed autographs for his fans.

The ironic part of it all is that Jackman plays a fisherman and will be seen gutting fish every performance. He didn’t cut his finger doing that, but instead sliced it by cutting a lemon.

He did took Instagram to show fans how bad he was cut, writing, “Still got 'em all!!! @TheRiverPlay.”
