Kathy Griffin has confirmed herself that she was approached by E! to fill Joan Rivers’ Fashion Police spot and a new report is suggesting that she has officially signed on to host the show.

Earlier this month, Griffin said she did get the offer, but added, “I don't know if the situation is correct at this time for me or right for me at this time.”

Sources have now told TMZ that she’s made up her mind and has decided to join the show. However, the show won’t air weekly like it did with Rivers.

Another mix-up to the show will reportedly be that Rivers’ daughter, Melissa Rivers, is going to change positios from behind the lens to in front of it. Kelly Osbourne and Giuliana Rancic will return, but it’s not clear whether George Kotsiopoulos will come back.

Instead of airing every Friday, the show will be reserved for award shows and other special occasions.

Rivers and Griffin were close friends, so a source told Us Weekly she would’ve “definitely approved."

“They talked about it many times," the source said. "They have such a similar sense of humor and were the best of friends.”
