Recently, reports of Cleveland Cavaliers players LeBron James and Kyrie Irving exchanging heated words have surfaced. Now, the two are strongly denying those reports, and in fact are laughing about it.

James opened up before a Friday morning shootaround, and had this to say in response to the report that the two exchanged words following the Cavs loss to the Utah Jazz earlier this week.

"Those reports aren't true.," James said at shootaround Friday before the Cavs' game against the Nuggets. "We have not had a verbal exchange. But I understand that negativity sells. No one wants to hear a good story. Those reports are not true. They're very false," according to CBS Sports.

Irving took to words that openly mocked the report.

"Aw man, we're on opposite ends (of the court after shootaround), so that means we hate each other," Irving deadpanned. "It was over 'Survivor's Remorse' and 'Family Guy.' That's what it was about. Obviously he's going to feel strongly about 'Survivor's Remorse.' It's his show! But I love 'Family Guy.' Heated exchange, words were said, no blows this time, but awesome for our team."

Some speculate the reported heated exchange came due to James encouraging Irving to distribute the ball better. And for good reason, because according to NBA.com, Cleveland is last in the league in assists and assist opportunities.

The struggling, 1-3 Cavs are looking to turn things around tonight as they take on the Denver Nuggets.
