Lorde and Taylor Swift have been good friends for a while now, and they proved how truly close they are during Sunday’s American Music Awards. They were each others’ biggest fans when they respectively took the stage for their performances.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show, Lorde told Jimmy Fallon their friendship really started when the “Blank Space” singer told a stranger that Lorde was her manager at a Grammys party.
People reports Lorde explained that Swift first sent her flowers, congratulating her “on everything,” and they later met up at a Shake Shack and really hit it off.
"She's really funny and people don't expect it," Lorde explained, Us Weekly reports. "It's really dry and you're almost like, 'Wait… did I? Is that what you just… Did that just happen?"
Lorde proved just how strong their bond is recently when she defended Swift against Diplo after he petitioned to get Swift a “booty.” She tweeted at him, “should we do something about your tiny penis while we're at it?”
