The National Football League has called a special meeting with some of the most powerful owners in the league for later this month, and the relocation to Los Angeles for an NFL team might be a topic of conversation.

According to CBS Sports, while the topic of Los Angeles relocation is not official just yet, it is believed that it will be discussed.
Meetings like this are rare, especially because of how full owner meetings are in the month of December. So the fact that this ""special meeting"" has been called is generating buzz.
Names that are expected to be there range from Jerry Jones to Bob Kraft, guys who hold the most clout in the league today. Jones and Kraft are already on record as two of the many who've urged the league to get into the LA market.
The two most logical teams to relocate to LA would be the Oakland Raiders and St. Louis Rams, being that they've already dipped their toes in the market in the past. Also reported by CBS, both of these franchises have already actively discussed a possible relocation to LA.
One major roadblock on the relocation would be the San Diego Chargers stance against the move. Team leaders have said that it would be harmful to their organization.
Mark Fabiani, counsel to Chargers owner Dean Spanos, said this to ESPN: ""Allowing another team to move into those markets would be economically harmful to the Chargers, to say the least,"" Fabiani said. ""Especially if it's a team that has voluntarily vacated that market in the past, such as the Rams or the Raiders -- that would be particularly objectionable to the Chargers.""
Time will only tell if, or when the most powerful league in the world will get back into the LA business, the second largest market in the country.
