Natalie Dormer is not only a member of the Hunger Games cast, but she’s also got a key part on HBO’s Game of Thrones. While she promotes the latest movie in the Lionsgate franchise, she was also asked about GoT and how she plays the role of Margaery Tyrell.

While chatting with the Daily Beast, she was asked about the show and she said that she’s pushing for more male nudity. After all, if the women have to strip down, so should the men, she says.

“Well, during the first season Alfie [Allen], Richard [Madden], and several of the men got naked—although not all the way,” she said. “I suppose it’s just the rules of broadcast television, isn’t it? I think Thrones has been better than your average show with the equality, but they could definitely ramp it up! Absolutely.”

Dormer revealed that she’s based her performance of Margaery on Kate Middleton and the media circus that follows her. There’s also a bit of Michelle Obama or Hillary Clinton in there, since the character is very politically savvy.

As Entertainment Weekly notes, Dormer plays Cressida in the Hunger Games movies. She said that one aspect of the world created by Suzanne Collins that she likes is that female characters are in power.

“What I love about Mockingjay–Part 1 is that President Coin or Cressida could have easily been played by a man,” Dormer said. “And if you look at Interstellar, the Anne Hathaway or Jessica Chastain roles would have been men years ago. I’m glad that cinema is catching up to what television has known for a while: that three-dimensional, complex women get an audience engaged as much as the men.”

Mockingjay I opened in theaters last night. GoT doesn’t return on HBO until next spring.
