Continuing their trend of airing live events of musicals, NBC may air a live theatrical adaptation of Oscar-winning playwright Aaron Sorkin's A Few Good Men, according to E! News.

A source tells E! News that NBC and Sorkin are working out an agreement to telecasting his 1989 Broadway play, which was then adapted into the movie of the same title in 1992 starring Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson and Demi Moore.

Don't expect to hear any singing though. The play is not a musical, unlike NBC's other live event productions, including The Sound of Music Live! and coming in December Peter Pan Live!

A Few Good Men is a courtroom drama about two Marines who are accused of killing another servicemen, the two to say they were contending under orders. The movie adaptation was nominated for four Academy Awards in 1993, including Best Picture and Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Jack Nicholson.

According to Variety, Sound of Music Live! and Peter Pan Live! producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron are also involved in the agreement along with Sony’s TV division, which has certain rights to A Few Good Men.
