Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman and wide receiver Doug Baldwin used a little a humor to let the league know how they felt about a $100,000 fine imposed on teammate Marshawn Lynch.
ESPN noted that on Tuesday Sherman and Baldwin criticized the NFL for fining the running back because he did not speak to the media.
Sherman talked about that and several other NFL policies for more than two minutes alongside a cardboard cutout of Baldwin, who was out of sight but lent his voice to the conversation.
The two called the media polices “hypocritical” and went on to mock the league for promoting player safety then having team’s play games in the span of a few days.
They also pointed out that the league tells players they cannot endorse alcohol, but yet beer is the NFL’s biggest sponsor.
Later, Sherman apologized to reporters for the conference, but said he wanted to get his point across.
With almost half a million views on YouTube and counting, looks like he succeeded.
