Iconic comedian Robin Williams loved his children and he made sure that they would be set for life after his death. He reportedly left them $50 million in his will.
The Daily Mail obtained a copy of Williams’ January 2011 will, which states that his three children - Zachary, 31; Zelda, 25; and Cody, 22 - will receive his $50 million estate, administered by the Robin Williams Trust.
In addition, his third wife, Susan Schneider, will receive a piece of the estate as part of their prenup agreement. Williams drew up the prenup in September 2011, following his experience with two prior divorces that reportedly cost the actor $30 million.
Williams died in August at age 63 from an apparent suicide. The final coroner’s report was released this past weekend and confirmed that he died from asphyxiation from hanging. No illicit drugs or alcohol were found in his system.
It was also reported this week that Williams suffered from Lewy Body Dementia, a condition that causes hallucinations. Sources told TMZ that this was a “key factor” in his suicide.
Williams was an Oscar-winning actor, starring in films like Good Will Hunting and Mrs. Doubtfire. His last film, A Merry Friggin’ Christmas, was just released in limited theaters.
