Recently, the San Francisco 49ers offense has left much to be desired. On Thanksgiving Night, they changed nothing about that sentiment as they fell on their home-field to the Seattle Seahawks by the final of 19-3.
Richard Sherman, like so many times in his career, turned out to be the stud of the game, intercepting two Colin Kaepernick passes, notes CBS Sports.
"I told their sideline if they threw it my way I'd end the game," Sherman said following the game, according to the Associated Press.
"The second one was pretty entertaining. I was laughing the whole time," Sherman said. "They threw it. I said, 'Way to be, way to be.'"
While Sherman played a starring role, he was only one of a collective unit that held the 49ers offense to a meager three points and 164 yards of total offense. Kaepernick threw for only 121 yards on 16 of 29 passing, including those two interceptions to Sherman.
On offense for Seattle, quarterback Russell Wilson once again played his "Wilson-Like" game which is always very efficient. He threw for 236 yards and chipped in with another 35 on the ground. Marshawn Lynch went for 104 yards on 20 attempts.
For the 49ers, the offensive struggles are real, and CEO of the organization Jed York let everybody know on Twitter how little this type of play is tolerated.
These comments should only further the complicated relationship that head coach Jim Harbaugh currently has with the organization. The rumors of his departure should only increase going forward.
For now though, San Francisco is sitting with a record of 7-5 while the Seahawks improve to 8-4, still chasing the division leading Arizona Cardinals.
