Sharon Osbourne promised a revival of the show that made her family the first family of reality television, The Osbournes and now we know what network will welcome them. Vh1 is reportedly developing the project.

Last week, Sharon Osbourne said on The Talk that an Osbournes reboot was in the works because her husband, singer Ozzy Osbourne, wants to do it. She said the revival would only run about eight episodes and will update viewers on how the family has been doing since the show ended in 2005.

While she never said what network would take them, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Vh1 will air it. That’s not too surprising, since the original series ran on Vh1’s corporate sibling MTV. Both networks are owned by Viacom.

The original Osbournes series began in 2002 and ran four seasons. It was MTV’s most-watched show at the time and helped launch the entertainment careers of Ozzy’s family. Their daughter, Sharon Osbourne, appears on E!’s Fashion Police, while their son, Jack Osbourne, has made regular appearances on reality shows.

Sharon is the most visible member of the family today. She appears on CBS’ The Talk daily and judged the U.K. version of The X Factor. She was also a judge on NBC’s America’s Got Talent.

Filming on the new Osbournes is expected to start in January.
