It was another buzz-worthy week on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with a slew of wild interviews with celebrity guests from Jason Bateman complaining about he didn't make People's "Sexiest Man Alive" cover, to a flu-ridden Jamie Foxx coming on the show with a high fever.
Other guests include The Hunger Games' Elizabeth Banks, John Mulaney, Courtney Love, and Tracee Ellis Ross. Nickelback, The New Basement, and Jessie J performed as musical guests. Here's a recap of the best moments this week on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
National UnFriend Day
Jimmy Kimmel describes this holiday on November 17 as "basically a juice cleanse for your Facebook page- it's not much fun to do, but once you do it you will feel like a new person." On Monday, he poked fun at the fact that people have so many so-called friends on Facebook, pointing out that no one really has a thousand friends and that we all probably need to clean up our Facebook pages at least once a year. To raise awareness of his self-invented holiday, Kimmel asked people to share with him who they are unfriending this year, and why they are unfriending them. Chances are you can probably relate. See the video here.
Hide & Speak with Cousin Sal- Worst Facebook Friends
Continuing with his Facebook-themed show on Monday, Kimmel sent his Cousin Sal to Hollywood Blvd. to ask pedestrians who their worst Facebook friend is. So that no one would recognize them, the pedestrians wore bizarre masks on their faces while making their confessions. See the hilarious segment here:
Do You Have What it Takes? Episode #3
In this third episode of the parody reality show, Do You Have What it Takes?, Kimmel and his fellow judges move their contestants on to the next round, eliminating even more people with emotional results. The bizarre slew of contestants probably stems from the fact that they were recruited via Craigslist. See the episode in this clip:
Celebrities Read Mean Tweets #8
This recurring segment has become a viral sensation on the internet, and for a good reason. Seeing celebrities call out their haters by reading mean tweets aimed at them from Twitter continues to be hilarious. Watch the newest batch of celebs, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Gerard Butler, Britney Spears, Chris Pratt, and many more, confront their internet haters in this clip:
Jimmy Kimmel and One Direction take the #CutestSelfieEver
In a high profile appearance, One Direction came on the show this week to promote their latest album Four. In an effort to make internet history, Kimmel proposed that he and the band attempt to take the "cutest selfie ever." With the help of his sidekick Guillermo, Kimmel brought out a never-ending stream of photo props including a teacup filled with kittens, stuffed animals, twin little girls dressed as ballerinas, and a unicorn pony (to name a few). See the photo for yourself and decide if Kimmel succeeded...
This Week in Unnecessary Censorship
Another week of TV means a new episode of Unnecessary Censorship, where Kimmel and his crew "bleep and blur things whether they need it or not."
