Thursday’s episode of Gracepoint pinned the focus of the investigation onto a new suspect, Jack Reinhold, whose past causes him to become the most likely person to have killed Danny. We also discovered more information about some of our cast of characters, including the fact that the old lady, Susan, has a different name.

In addition to the investigation, we got to see Carver have dinner with Ellie and her husband, Joe. Renee and Owen also were featured more in this episode, especially since Renee got a story after visiting with Beth and her family. This upset Owen because she didn’t tell him about the story, especially after they slept together and she had already agreed to share a byline with him.

At this point, we are only seeing that there are more to the characters than meets the eye. As we continue to watch each episode, the detectives are still locked in on solving the case, but you have to wonder if you need to be focusing on a suspect too. Maybe there’s one who is too obvious? Or maybe there is another who isn’t being focused on enough?

Either way, we’ll keep watching as we seek to discover just what is going on in the town of Gracepoint. Here are the top ten moments that captured our attention in the episode.

Renee gets to do her story this episode and it comes when Beth agrees to allow her to do one about missing Danny and wanting his killer caught. This doesn’t sit well with police, who didn’t want the media attention at this point, but it does get the media involved in getting the word out about the investigation. Plus, her story lands her in hot water with Owen, who isn’t happy she did the story without him.
