Last Thursday’s episode of Gracepoint was shocking, heartbreaking, and tragic as we saw what happened when Jack Reinhold’s past was exposed and how the town turned against him.
While Jack did indeed sleep with a girl who was underage, it was discovered that they had eventually married and had a little boy, but the child died after a car accident. Unfortunately, because of the stress of everything that has happened, it leads toward a shocking conclusion.
Plus, Beth reveals her pregnancy to Mark, who wants to keep it, but knows it is her decision to make. Chloe tries to get her dad to get her mom to keep it, but he doesn’t want to force a decision on her. After everything that happened, Beth is unable to handle the pregnancy and she admits to Frank Coates that she hates the baby.. She also confronts Gemma about her affair.
There were many things that occurred in this episode that were touching and sad all at the same time. We’re taking a look at some of the top ten moments from the sixth episode of Gracepoint. Where do you stand when it comes to what happened to Danny?

10. Article about Jack
Owen and Renee write an article about Jack’s past, but then the article is edited differently before it hits production, and calls Jack a pedophile. This causes Jack to be seen in a different light by the town and they harass him, including writing the word ‘pedophile’ on his porch.

9. Tom and Susan
In the episode as well, we see Tom and Susan interacting. He takes a liking to her dog and she offers him to come by and walk him since the dog seems to like Tom as well. Tom gives her his name and Susan realizes he is Ellie’s son. In the promo for the next episode, we see Tom has gone missing. Could this be connected? We’ll find out soon.

8. Mark and Jack
Mark finds out about the mob of angry citizens led by Vince going to Jack’s home and he goes to put a stop to it. He talks to Jack, who tells him about the young woman he had a relationship with and how they had a son. He reveals the only reason he wanted to be around kids was because he missed his child. Most likely Mark believes him, but it is still a tough scene to watch.

7. Gemma and Carver
Gemma comes to talk to Carver with a business offer about staying at the inn, especially since coverage of the case has caused her to receive cancellations and reporters are staying at the inn. She tells Carver he can stay at a reduced price and asks him if he will tell anyone he’s not well.

6. Chloe and Mark
Chloe comes to talk to Mark after the pregnancy reveal and urges her dad to make her mom keep the baby. However, Mark tells her it’s Beth’s decision to make and he can’t do it for her. Chloe doesn’t want to lose another sibling.

Beth confronts Gemma in this episode when she goes to the Inn and begins to toss glasses at her. She tells Gemma to stay away from her family and when Gemma tries to apologize, Beth won’t hear it.

4. Beth tells Mark
After watching the news story about Tom timing the route Danny took for the police, Beth confronts Mark about sleeping with Gemma. She is upset and angry and as Mark tries to tell her he still wants them to hold on to each other, she reveals she is pregnant. Later, Beth and Mark look through baby pictures of Danny.

3. Jack’s fatal decision
After the stress of the case causes him to lose the respect of the town, we see Jack holding a photo of his ex-wife and his child. Without a word, we see him walking toward the ocean.

2. Cigarettes
Also in this episode, we find out that after searching, Hugo, who has been working the crime scene, found cigarette butts near where Danny’s body has been found. He notices the brand has a high tar content. Then later on, we see Susan watching Owen look for his dad’s boat, which is missing and could possibly be the boat that was found burning. While Susan watches, we see she’s smoking.

1. Finding his body
Carver wakes up the morning after we see Jack going toward the ocean. He gets a phone call and his face is stoic as someone talks to him. Then, we see him at the beach with Ellie at his side. She is noticeably shaken as she leans forward to look at Jack’s body on the beach.
