The last episode of NCIS: New Orleans saw the team looking into a 40-year-old murder case after a petty officer’s gun is found. The gun ended up missing from a man named Jacob Tarlowe, who was murdered by hanging.

At the time, racial tensions were high and since he had worked with African American officers, the coroner refused to have a look at his body. Loretta was taken by the case and it haunted her for years, especially since she befriended Jacob’s widow, Hannah.

The team looks into the murder for Loretta, and they end up coming across a group known as the Confederate Brigade, who were similar to the Ku Klux Klan. They had been in a fight with Jacob before his murder. But as the case goes on, they discover that not all is what it seems and that Jacob’s murder may actually hit closer to home.

In this episode, we also got to meet Congressman Hamilton again, especially since his father is a suspect of Jacob’s murder at one point. Thanksgiving is also celebrated as well, with Sebastian, Chris, and Brody facing off over who will bring the best greens to the table, and Laurel comes home to have Thanksgiving with her dad.

Plus, she also brought her boyfriend along. This episode was very moving and it spoke about many different themes that resonate with all of us. Here are the top ten moments from “Chasing Ghosts.”
