TV Land has decided that it’s time to end the most successful original series in its history, Hot In Cleveland. Network executives better get prepared for negative reaction from Betty White’s fanbase.

Hot in Cleveland was the first scripted series on TV Land and none of its other shows have reached its level of success. In fact, spinoff The Soul Man and The Exes are the only surviving scripted sitcoms left on the network.

The show’s sixth season will be its last, TV Land said late Monday, reports Deadline. It will likely continue to live in reruns on TV Land and in syndication, since it did recently hit the 100-episode plateau.

“It’s been an honor to work with Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and the incomparable Betty White as well as our executive producers Suzanne Martin, Todd Milliner, Sean Hayes and the rest of our exceptional writers, production team and crew,” TV Land President Larry W. Jones said in a statement.

Hot began its run with 4.8 million viewers, but has continued to slip over the years. It now averages 2.4 million viewers and a 1.2 18-49 rating.

During its run, the show scored countless highlights and drew several guest stars. Last year, the show hosted a Mary Tyler Moore Show reunion with Valerie Harper, Mary Tyler Moore and Cloris Leachman joining White and Georgia Engel.
