After missing his today show appearance due to an alleged “Tummy Bug,” One direction’s Zayn Malik is expressing his anger at host, Matt Lauer’s drug inquisition.
According to Daily Mail, when only four of the five One direction bandmates arrived on the Today show to promote their new album Four, Lauer asked if Zayn’s “no show” was due to drugs. Although Liam cleared the bad air by explaining the illness, Zayn’s fury surfaced due to the seriousness of the accusation.
In an interview with Dan Wootton of “The Sun,” Malik expressed, “'I'm really angry and upset by what was said on The Today Show. I was really ill at the weekend. That's why I couldn't fly to America.”
As we previously reported, the band made its way to Orlando, Florida for their taping of Four performances. However, due to the missing Malik, One direction devotees started #GetWellSoonZayn to show their support via Twitter.
Thankfully for fans, the absent singer had no effect on the fun, for Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles continued with their performance, one man down. They reportedly sang some old songs such as, “steal my girl,” in addition the new ones.
