The Voice final four take the stage one last time to win over America, win the title of The Voice and a recording contract with Universal Music Group. For the first time since season one, the finalists will also be singing an original song that has been selected by their coaches. This season the final four comes down to Craig Wayne Boyd, Chris Jamison, Damien and Matt McAndrew. Each finalist will sing three times tonight. Even though Team Pharrell and Team Gwen have already been eliminated from the competition, they are providing their insight and comments on each performance.

Kicking off the show was Damien from Team Adam. Damien sang “A Song for You” to start off his final three performances. Shelton started off the comments by saying that Damien really floats effortlessly through the performance and the melody. Williams added that the way Damien sings, it takes him to church. Stefani kept her comments simple saying that it was a beautiful and gorgeous performance. Levine said that this was one of his best performances yet.

Next up Craig Wayne Boyd performed his original song. The song was chosen by Shelton, who explained that he had been holding onto this song for a long time but wasn’t sure if he could record it because it was so incredibly hard to sing. The song was “My Baby’s Got A Smile on Her Face.” Williams opened the comments by saying, “Welcome to your future.” Stefani said that after that kind of performance Boyd is going to be going on tour for a long time. Coach Blake said he hadn’t been that nervous for a song since he started this show but he knew that was the perfect song for Boyd.

Following Boyd was Chris Jamison, who sang “Lost Without You” with the help of his coach Adam. “Lost Without You” was one of the first hits from Robin Thicke.

Matt McAndrew sang his original song “Wasted Love” next. The coaches could hardly get comments out because of how loud the crowd was cheering. Williams started off the comments by saying that everyone in McAndrew’s hometown was on their feet right now. Stefani said that this song really made her go to a creative place and it was inspiring. Coach Adam said that he is so proud of McAndrew and he was on the verge of tears after that performance.
Following that was Craig Wayne Boyd teaming up with coach Blake Shelton to sing “Boots On” by Randy Houser.
After that country duet, the duets continued with Coach Adam and Damien. The two sang “Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me” by Elton John.
Chris Jamison was up next with his original song “Velvet.” After his song finished the crowd was roaring in celebration. Williams started off the comments by saying that a star was born on this show and everyone has seen Jamison turn into the artist he is today. Levine said that he really wished they could have three winners this season because everyone really deserves to win on his team.
For McAndrew’s second performance, he teamed up with Coach Adam to perform “Lost Stars” from the Begin Again soundtrack.
Following that performance was Craig Wayne Boyd singing “In Pictures” by Alabama. Stefani said that it was an amazing and an emotional song for him to sing and she is very happy for him. Coach Shelton added that it is a great song and perfect statement for Boyd, with an honest performance from him.
The last performance from Damien was his original song, “Solider.” His family and all of the coaches were on their feet at the end of the performance. Levine told him this is crazy just look around at the audience, he added that he is bursting with pride because everyone on his team has listened to his advice and has stayed true to who they are.
Next up was Chris Jamison putting his own unique spin on “Cry Me A River” by Justin Timberlake. Levine summed up his comments quickly by saying “Like a young Jedi, welcome.”
Closing the night was Matt McAndrew. McAndrew sang “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.” Stefani started off the comments by saying that he really connected and picked the perfect song for this moment. Williams said that at the end of the day it is magical to see McAndrew walk through walls with his music because he is just a great voice. Coach Adam said that for a moment, everyone was able to pause and join something so bittersweet and perfect.
Tuesday night will feature the results and performances from many chart-topping artists such as Ed Sheeran, Jessie J and more.
