Despite a rough couple of years for Chris Klein, the actor is officially engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Laina Rose Thyfault.
According to People Magazine, the 35-year-old American Pie actor recently proposed to his girlfriend of three-and-a-half years in Venice Beach.

The 35-year-old actor met the 29-year-old at a mutual friends wedding and since then have been quietly dating.
Klein’s rep, Jaime Primak, told People, “Chris and Laina are very happy and look forward to celebrating their engagement over the holidays.”
This will be Klein’s first marriage. However, he was engaged to actress Katie Holmes but the two split in 2005, Gossip Cop reports. In 2010, the Just Friends star was arrested for DUI and entered rehab for years of alcohol abuse. Since then, the actor has stuck with his sobriety despite the struggle.
In 2012, Klein told People Magazine that his alcoholism nearly killed him.
“It got to the point where I was a fragile shadow of the young man that came into this business,” he said. “Today, I’m the luckiest guy alive.”
