Angelina Jolie admits her marriage to Brad Pitt isn’t all rainbows and butterflies; just like any other couple’s relationship, it’s hard work.
Add in two demanding careers and six children, this family really has to work at preserving their time together.
The Unbroken director told Australia’s Women’s Weekly “[Brad and I] work really hard at nurturing our family to make sure that everybody is alright and everyone stays connected," adding, "Maintaining a marriage and raising kids is hard work.”
Although they usually make it a rule that one parent does a movie at a time, they’re currently working together on By the Sea.
“You have to really make sure that your work doesn’t get in the way,” she said. “That you don’t do something that is going to put too much strain on your family."
Jolie, 39, also gushed about their kids; Maddox, Zahara, Pax, Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox, calling them “six of the funniest people we have ever met in our lives.”
“We love being home and we love being around them because they are just so entertaining," she added.
Somehow, Jolie and Pitt managed to pull off a secret wedding at their estate in France back in August. They got engaged in April 2012.
