While this is absolutely not a surprise, Fox is officially not going to even consider a second season of Gracepoint, the network’s remake of the U.K. series Broadchurch.

Although the series featured Broadchurch’s David Tennant reprising his role, viewers did not turn in. According to TV Line, the season premiere drew just 4.8 million viewers and a 1.2 18-49 rating. The season finale only scored 4 million viewers and a 0.9 rating in the key demographic.

Since it was billed as a limited series from the beginning, a second season wasn’t expected, but if it was a success, Fox could have ordered another season. After all, Broadchurch is getting a second season itself.

Gracepoint paired Tennant with Breaking Bad’s Anna Gunn investigating the murder of a young boy. It ran just 10 episodes.

Fox has struggled mightily to launch any new shows this season that don’t have to do with Batman. Aside from Gotham, which got a full season, its other new shows haven’t been so lucky. Utopia was cancelled and Red Band Society stopped production. Sitcom Mulaney is also widely expected to be cancelled.
