It’s been six months since Casey Kasem passed away, which followed years of fighting between his now-widow Jean Kasem and his adult children; Kerri, Mike and Julie. That fight carried on even after his death, which has now been settled.
Jean was fighting with his children over burial arrangements, and she has won. The American Top 40 host’s kids wanted him to be buried at Glendale's Forest Lawn Memorial Park in California and Jean wanted him buried in Oslo, Norway.
According to TMZ, Kasem was buried at the Vestre Gravlund in Norway last Tuesday. His children weren’t even aware until Monday of this week.
The burial comes in the midst of an elder abuse investigation the Los Angeles Police Department were carrying out for Kasem’s kids.
They filed the report to prosecute Jean, whom they say was the reason for Kasem contracting a fatal infection on a long car ride to Washington State from California. He also had bed sores at the time of his death.
The LAPD will now have to drop the case since Kasem has been buried - out of the country no less.
Kasem died at the age of 82 in June.
