Actors Mayim Bialik and Regina Hall and television host Bob Barker are all celebrating their birthdays today, December 12.

Mayim Bialik, 39

Actress and neuroscientist Mayim Bialik turns 39 today. Bialik started her career as a child actress in the late 1980s with a role in the horror film Pumpkinhead and guest appearances on the shows The Facts of Life and Beauty and the Beast. She also appeared in three episodes of MacGyver and had a minor role in the film Beaches.

In 1990, Bialik earned the title role on NBC's Blossom. Blossom received great ratings until its end in 1995. Between 1995 and 2005, Bialik mostly did voice-over work for The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest and Recess. Bialik had a recurring role as the high school guidance counselor in ABC Family's The Secret Life of the American Teenager. In 2009, Bialik was nominated by Clinton Kelly for a makeover on TLC's What Not To Wear.

Bialik joined the cast of The Big Bang Theory as Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler. Though her first appearance was in season 3, she earned a recurring role in season 5. Bialik's performance in The Big Bang Theory earned her Emmy Award nominations in 2012, 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

On March 6, 2012, her book, Beyond the Sling: A Real-Life Guide to Raising Confident, Loving Children the Attachment Parenting Way, was released. She has two children from a previous marriage.

Regina Hall, 44

Film and television actress Regina Hall turns 44 today. Hall began her television career with a role on the soap opera Loving and a guest appearance on the FOX police drama New York Undercover. She had a small part in the 1999 film The Best Man as Candace Sparks. She gained more recognition with her role in the comedy-horror-spoof Scary Movie and reprised her roles in the sequels Scary Movie 2, Scary Movie 3 and Scary Movie 4.

In 2001, Hall landed the role of Coretta Lipp on the prime-time drama Ally McBeal, which was originally a recurring role over several episodes but was later made a main character in the 5th season of the show. A year later, she starred in Paid in Full and has landed leading roles in films such as Malibu's Most Wanted, King's Ransom and The Honeymooners.

In 2012, she starred in Steve Harvey's Think Like a Man and a year later, reprised her role as Candace in The Best Man Holiday. Hall appeared in the 2014 film About Last Night alongside Kevin Hart. Hall also reprised her role as Candace Hall in Think Like a Man Too.

Bob Barker, 91

Former television game show host Bob Barker turns 91 today. Barker is best known for hosting CBS's The Price Is Right from 1972 to 2007, making it the longest-running daytime game show in North American television history. He is also known for hosting Truth or Consequences from 1956 to 1974.

In 1950, Barker moved to California in order to pursue a career in broadcasting. He was given his own radio show, The Bob Barker Show, which ran for the next six years from Burbank. Barker began his game show career in 1956, hosting Truth or Consequences. He went on to host various game shows as well as the Miss Universe pageants.

Barker became an advocate for animal rights. Since then, Barker has been a long-time supporter of animal rights, and of animal-rights activism, including groups such as the United Activists for Animal Rights and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society. In 2007, Barker retired from hosting The Price Is Right after celebrating his 50-year career on television.
