Film and television actor and musician Adam Brody turns 35 today. in 2000, Brody landed the role of Barry Williams in the television movie Growing Up Brady. He also appeared in the Canadian comedy television series The Sausage Factory. In 2001, he played a minor role in American Pie 2 before earning a recurring role on Gilmore Girls in 2002.

In 2003, Brody appeared in the feature film Grind. The same year, Brody was cast in his breakout role as Seth Cohen on the popular television show The O.C.. The role turned him into a teen idol, and as a result of his high female fan base, Brody was ranked No. 17 in Independent Online's "100 Sexiest Men Alive" of 2006, was twice placed on Teen People's annual list of "25 Sexiest Stars under 25", Voted as Elle Girl Magazine Coolest Guy Celeb and Coolest TV Star in 2005, Voted No. 1 in UK CosmoGIRL as pin-up sex-symbol, chosen as one of the People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive in 2004–2006 and was the first male to appear on the cover of Elle Girl.

In 2005, Brody appeared in a minor role alongside Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in the film Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and went on to star in Thank You for Smoking, In the Land of Women, Smiley Face, Jennifer's Body, Cop Out, Scream 4, Lovelace, Baggage Claim and Think Like a Man Too.

Brody can be seen in the comedy Life Partners, now playing in theaters.

Michelle Dockery, 33

Actress and singer Michelle Dockery turns 33 today. Dockery started her career on stage, appearing in the productions Henry IV, Parts I & II, Pygmalion, Uncle Vanya and Hamlet. Dockery made her television debut as Betty in Fingersmith in 2005. In 2009, she appeared in the two-part Cranford Christmas special for the BBC, and starred as the lead character in a modernised BBC adaptation of The Turn of the Screw.

Dockery gained attention in the United States in 2010 when she played Lady Mary Crawley in Downton Abbey. For her role in the series, she has received three Emmy Award nominations and a Golden Globe nomination.

Dockery made her first big screen role was as False Marissa in the 2011 film Hanna. In 2012, she appeared as Princess Myagkaya in the film adaptation of Anna Karenina. In January 2014, she appeared in the thriller Non-Stop alongside Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore.
