Creed frontman Scott Stapp’s wife, Jaclyn Stapp, is speaking out in the wake of requesting a 60-day psychiatric hold on her estranged husband.
Stapp has since denied needing help in a Facebook video, saying he doesn’t have drug abuse issues, he’s just broke.
His wife of eight years has now issued a statement through her attorney, Jason Brodie, saying, "It is a very painful and personal matter for the family.”
“Jaclyn loves Scott very much. It is now apparent the seriousness of Scott's health. Jaclyn has taken all the necessary steps to help him,” the statement continued. “She previously arranged for the appropriate treatment and will continue to try and help him. Her primary concern remains the best interest of their children.”
CBS News reports she claims he left their home together in October after threatening to hurt their family and himself.
He has since posted some bizarre videos, but has taken them down and said he’s “going to step back and let God control everything from here on.”
He’s also now attempting to raise $480k for a solo album.
