Mark Hamill has been the voice of the Joker, but he’s set to play another DC villain in The Flash.
Hamill will be playing James Jesse, also known as the Trickster, in the new CW TV series, according to HitFix. This isn’t the first time he’s played the Trickster, as Hamill played him in the original Flash TV show on CBS in the 90s.
HitFix reported that the CW discussed their version of the villain on the show, saying that the Trickster was con artist and terrorist serving the rest of his life in prison. A copycat Trickster begins attacking the city, and he will aid the Flash and Detective West in catching him. John Wesley Shipp, who portrayed the Flash in the 90s series and plays the father to the hero in the new series, is also set to appear.
The episode with Hamill won’t air until the Spring, according to Comicbook.com, which will be the 17th episode of the season. Aside from Hamill and Shipp returning to this new series, Amanda Pays will also come back as Dr. Tina McGee in a new episode on Tuesday.
