David Schwimmer, known as Ross Gellar from F.R.I.E.N.D.S., will hit the small screen again in the Ryan Murphy mini series based on the O.J. Simpson murder trial.

New York Daily News reported that the actor has been cast as the late Robert Kardashian, who was the defense lawyer for Simpson and one of the key players on the team during the trial.

Kardashian passed away back in 2003 after a battle with cancer. He is the father of Kourtney, Rob, Kim, and Khloe Kardashian. Other actors involved in the show include Cuba Gooding Jr. and Sarah Paulson.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the television series, titled American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson was based on the book by Jeffrey Toobin titled The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson.

The first season will run for 10 episodes and follows the lawyers perspectives during the trial. It will also go into the behind the scenes dealings of both the defense and prosecution.

Also, the show will also go into the environment when it came to both sides of the court, and the history of the African American community with the police in Los Angeles. The culmination of those will apparently show how this all gave jury reasonable doubt over Simpson’s guilt.

The show is said to begin production next year, shooting in the city of Los Angeles.
