Forbes has released their Highest Paid Musicians list, which Dr. Dre dominated with $650 million earned this past year. He beat out the runner-up, Beyonce, by a staggering $500 million.
Thanks to Apple’s $3 billion acquisition of Dr. Dre’s Beats, Forbes placed him at the top of their list. Beyonce came in No. 2 with $115 million earned through endorsements with Pepsi and H&M as well as sales from her Mrs. Carter Show tour and the On the Run tour with husband Jay Z.
The Eagles made $100 million and came on No. 3 at the list, making most of their money from their History Of The Eagles tour.
Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen round out the top five with $82 million and $81 million, respectively.
Dr. Dre hasn’t released an album in over a decade, but continues to dominate Forbes’ money ranking lists.
He also topped Forbes’ hip-hop cash kings list.
As for Beyonce, this was her year, becoming the most nominated woman in Grammys history, surpassing Dolly Parton.
