Franco paced in his cell. Carly arrived. She told him that she found it reassuring to see him in a cage. He thought she got what was coming to her with everything he did on their wedding day. Carly then said that she wished she had killed him and vented about how awful he was. She then kept threatening him saying that he should be worried when she would wreck his life, not the other way around. He replied by pointing out that he was likely headed to Pentonville, which meant that the only person he could hurt now was Sonny. She then trashed him and Nina and he defended Nina. Carly declared that they were both “screwed” and stomped out. Franco then called the guard and told him that he needed to use the bathroom. Down the hall, Nina fretted to herself about “my baby needing me.” This annoyed Ava, who was in the cell next door. They then both called for the guard and each demanded to see their baby. The women yelled at each other until the guard got annoyed, said that neither woman would see anyone and left. Ava wanted to strangle Nina, who began taunting her about killing Connie and framing AJ. Nina then said that she was sure that she would get custody of the baby. Ava thought she was delusional and mocked her. Nina then threw a chair in her cell and insisted that she would be a family with Franco and the baby. Franco was then brought by. He told Nina that he couldn’t promise that they would be a family again. They then held hands for a moment and then the guard dragged him away. All the while, Ava had a smug look on her face.

At GH, Morgan and Kiki fussed over the baby. He worried about how quiet she was. Then, Silas came in and informed them that the child was in perfect health. Morgan then requested a paternity test, but Silas couldn’t do one without the baby’s guardian's consent. Kiki then realized that she was the baby’s guardian since she was her closest relative. Silas said he could live with that and ran the test. Then, Carly showed up and told Morgan that she wouldn’t be seeing Sonny again. Silas then explained that a simple blood test wouldn't work. They would have to run extensive tests and it could take weeks to get back a definitive answer. He then asked Carly if they could test her DNA to hurry things along because if her and the baby shared DNA then Morgan was the father, if not, she was Sonny’s.

Olivia wandered into The Metro Court restaurant and spotted Ned sitting with Alexis. He told Alexis that Julian was bad news and that she shouldn't have gone to see him alone. She doubted it would be an issue again because he was headed to prison for a long stay. Olivia then interrupted and guessed what they wanted for breakfast. She pointedly suggested that Alexis wanted her eggs over-easy and chuckled as she walked off. Alexis wondered if Ned noticed Olivia’s veiled insult. Ned was clueless. Then, Olivia returned with their meals and explained that she added some lox for Alexis because she reminded her of cold fish. Then, Alexis spoke up and asked Olivia if she had a problem with her. After some prodding, Olivia blurted out that she and Ned didn’t belong together and that she belonged with Ned. That turned out to be a fantasy in Olivia’s mind. In reality, Olivia kept her mouth shut and comped their meals. After Alexis left, Ned asked Olivia what was really going on.

Julian was brought into court. He saw Carlos sitting there and wondered who he was working for now. Carlos whispered that was now working for Johnny and that The Zaccharas wanted to take over the entire eastern seaboard. Julian then told Carlos that he wanted out of the mob. Carlos replied by mocking his obsession with Alexis and insisted that men like them didn't get a happy ending. He then instructed Julian to plead not guilty. Then, the hearing began. Julian thought of Alexis, but pled not guilty. The bail was set and posted by Carlos so the judge let Julian go. Carlos then told Julian they would be the next kings of Port Charles. He walked off as Alexis arrived. She guessed what just occurred. Julian then reminded her that she had already said that they didn’t have a future together.

Sonny interrupted Johnny's weightlifting at Pentonville to demand some answers about Ric. As he tried to choke Johnny, two of Zacchara’s thugs ran over and dragged him off. Johnny then explained that he knew where Ric was and that he was just a patsy for Faison. He then handed Sonny evidence and explained that Ric's life was in his hands. "You have to play ball," Johnny suggested. Sonny refused to, so Johnny threatened to kill Ric. Sonny wondered if Ric was just partnering with Johnny. "You'll have to trust me," Johnny replied with a smirk. He then made it clear that he wasn’t really giving Sonny a choice.

At The Metro Court bar, Olivia told Ned that she had feelings for him and she wanted to know if there was a chance for them. Ned replied that he liked Olivia a lot, but that he and Alexis had a history together. He then added that he felt he owed it to himself to take this second chance with Alexis and that all he could offer her for now was his friendship. Olivia replied that she couldn’t go back to just hanging out and being friends because the more time she spent with him, the more she wanted to be with him. Ned then said then this was goodbye and he headed off, leaving Olivia in tears.

At Wyndemere, Spencer was giving Nikolas the silent treatment. Spencer, however, broke his silence to tell Nikolas that Britt left Port Charles and added how he almost left with her, but that “Great-Grandmother” stopped him. Nikolas thought he meant Lesley, but when Spencer clarified that he meant Helena, Nikolas moved to call security, but before he could Helena walked out of a secret passage in the wall. Nikolas sent Spencer off to his room so that he could talk alone with Helena. Once Spencer was gone, Helena demanded that Nikolas give her a hug. He reluctantly gave her one, but then said he was calling security. Helena replied that everything she had done was to safeguard the family and Cassadine legacy. She wanted Nikolas to finally embrace his birthright and act like the prince he was. Helena then threatened Nikolas saying if he didn’t, that everything he owned, the island, Wyndemere and the money, would all disappear.

Outside of the PCPD, Sam ignored a call from Patrick. Inside, Dante was trying to determine who the masked gunman was from the surveillance footage. Lulu was with him, but she left for the courthouse for Maxie’s hearing. Then, Sam showed up to ask Dante if he had any leads on the gunman, but he didn’t. Sam then told Dante that she had a suspect in mind, Jake/Jason. Sam thought she could help Dante and that Spinelli was enhancing the surveillance video for her. Dante replied that he needed to have a chat with Spinelli about the legalities of hacking the police force’s system, but for now he decided to work with Sam. Thanks to Spinelli they got a clear shot of the gunman’s eyes and Sam was sure it was Jake/Jason.

At GH, Jake/Jason had a brief run-in with Obrecht, who once again reminded him of his bill. Jake/Jason then found Elizabeth and the two had lunch. Elizabeth then confided in him that Sam suspected he was the gunman. Jake/Jason became upset and asked Elizabeth if she believed Sam. Elizabeth assured him that she didn’t. Jake/Jason then thanked her for believing in him.

At the courthouse, Maxie video chatted with Nathan over the phone. Maxie was waiting for her custody hearing to begin and Nathan wished her luck. She said that she hoped to see Nathan soon and hung up. Then, Lulu arrived to keep Maxie calm. She told Lulu that Mac and Felicia couldn’t come because they were caught up elsewhere in the courthouse due to the mayoral race recount. Maxie then panicked when Diane texted her that she couldn’t make the hearing either due to being stuck in another trial. Fortunately, Alexis showed up to take Diane’s place. Judge Walters then took the bench and was surprised to see Alexis defending Maxie given their history in that courtroom, but Alexis said that her job today was to show that Maxie had demonstrated herself to be a fit mother. The judge then noted that Maxie had done everything required to regain visitation rights of her daughter, except she had failed to stay away from Nathan West. Alexis replied that directive wasn’t in the documents she reviewed. Walters then said that he gave it to her verbally and he had several recorded accounts of Maxie being spotted with Nathan West. He then denied her visitation and said they would revisit her case in sixth months. Alexis found the ruling outrageous and planned to file an appeal.

Back at GH, Obrecht checked on Nathan as he was hanging up with Maxie. Obrecht sensed that Nathan and Maxie had feelings for each other, but didn’t understand why Maxie wasn’t with him. Nathan then explained the judge’s orders forbidding Maxie from seeing him. Later, Obrecht told Nathan that Britt left town with Faison and that this must all be off the record. Obrecht then told Nathan that she was to go with them, but stayed because of him when she learned he was shot. She then added that she left him once, and that she couldn’t leave him again. Obrecht knew he must use this information, but swore she didn’t know where Britt and Faison went. Nathan replied that he was more focused on the outcome of Maxie’s hearing at the moment and would deal with the information later.

Maxie visited Nathan at GH and told him that the judge knew they had seen one another. She then told that he denied her visitation with her daughter. Maxie blamed herself, but Nathan was furious and felt the judge had zeroed in on her for some reason. He then vowed to make the judge pay for abusing his power. Maxie told him that if he wanted to help her then he could just hold her, which he did. Nathan then promised her that he would make sure she spent Christmas with Georgie.

Silas visited Ava at the PCPD jail. He told her that her baby was fine and that she was with Morgan and Kiki. Ava worried that they didn’t know how to care for a baby, but Silas said that Carly was helping them. Ava then thanked Silas for all that he had done for her. Silas then asked what would happen to her. Ava replied that she hired Diane Miller, but that she always knew that one day she would pay the price for the people she had hurt. Silas ended up being paged back to GH, but before he left he told her that they were running a paternity test on her baby.

At Pentonville, Shawn paid Sonny a visit to let him know the baby had been found and that they were running a paternity test on her. He also said Ava was in custody for killing Connie. Sonny then changed the subject to Ric and Johnny’s demands that he hand over his territory as ransom for his brother. Sonny asked Shawn to try and find Ric, otherwise he would have no choice but to hand over his business to Johnny.

Michael found Carly, Morgan and Kiki with the baby at the brownstone. Michael rejected their attempts to mend fences and told Morgan and Kiki that he had come to evict them. Words were exchanged between Michael and Morgan and Kiki and Carly tried in vain to cool things between the brothers. Carly then told Morgan and Kiki that they could stay with her. Carly also told Michael that she wasn’t with Sonny anymore and that he refused to see her in hopes it would help Michael to forgive her. Carly then begged Michael to let go of his anger, but he refused and told them all to be out of the brownstone by the end of the day.

Sabrina met Patrick for lunch at The Metro Court. Patrick told her that it was Victor Cassadine who was responsible for Gabriel’s death, not Ava. He then relayed to her the entire story about Victor forcing Robin to work for him and how Sam was furious at him for not telling her the truth about Jason. Sabrina was sure that Sam would forgive him. Sabrina then confessed to Patrick what she did to Ava when she thought Ava was to blame for their son’s death. Patrick replied that nobody was hurt and that she needed to forgive herself. The two then hugged and promised to remain friends.

Sam ran into Jake/Jason on her way out of the PCPD. Jake/Jason confronted her over her suspicions and wanted to know why she didn’t talk to him instead of going to Elizabeth. Sam said she wanted to protect Elizabeth and then she asked him point blank if he was the gunman. Jake/Jason replied that he wasn’t and that he came to the PCPD to clear his name with the cops. Jake/Jason then said that he thought she needed someone to blame for Faison escaping and that he had become that person. Jake/Jason then added that he had no reason to break Faison out of jail and told her that if she continued investigating him that she would only come up empty. She fired back they would see and walked off. Jake/Jason then began thinking about the incident and it appeared that he began to remember it. He then wondered if Sam was right about him.

Back at the PCPD jail, Sabrina showed up to see Ava and apologized to her for what she did. Ava shocked Sabrina by accepting her apology, saying she took advantage of Sabrina’s misfortune for her own needs. Ava then added that she was sorry for what she did to Sabrina, and she was also sorry that neither of them would be the mothers they were meant to be.

Back at The Metro Court, Sam ran into Patrick. Patrick apologized for what he did and he said that he didn’t want to lose his friend and what they could have been. She replied that she didn’t want to lose what they had and could have either and added that it didn’t matter what he did or didn’t tell her, because Jason was still gone and he wasn’t coming back.

Shawn met with Duke at The Metro Court restaurant to talk about the business. Shawn warned him that if Johnny got his way, it wouldn’t be their business much longer. They then discussed Sonny being between a rock and a hard place. They changed the subject to Carlos resurfacing and wondered how he got the money to bail Julian out. Shawn felt that Julian was as big a threat as ever and Anna would have her hands full. Duke then said that would give Johnny and Julian exactly what they wanted.

In the garage, Carlos showed Julian something in the trunk of a car that would be “Sonny's undoing.” Julian grimaced. Julian thought he was in protective custody. Carlos then said if Sonny didn't comply with Johnny's demands, it would be goodbye for Ric. Julian was furious with Carlos for bringing him to the scene of a kidnapping and reminded him that he didn’t work for Johnny, he worked for him. Julian then said that wouldn’t let Johnny’s vendetta against Sonny be his undoing. Carlos wondered if Julian's objections had more to do with Alexis. They then discussed possibly letting Ric go. Duke then called Julian for a face-to-face meeting. Later, Ric kicked inside the trunk.

At GH, Nathan told Alexis that he promised Maxie she would spend Christmas with Georgie. Alexis assured him that she wouldn't give up. Nathan also wanted her to represent Nina. Nathan said he thought she was sick and Alexis agreed. She hoped she could get her the help she needed, but reminded him how Nina hurt Sam. Nathan wanted to protect Nina and brought up Alexis' deceased sister, Kristina. He then reminded her that they were family. Alexis grinned. "The Cassadine card." Alexis then agreed to represent Nina, but warned that it would be an uphill battle. Once Alexis was gone, Nathan called someone for help with the Maxie situation. "I can't do this without you."

Elsewhere, Jake/Jason flashed to holding Sam at gunpoint. Then, Patrick appeared and asked, "You okay?" They chatted about Thanksgiving. Jake/Jason thought Sam told Patrick about her suspicions about him. Patrick replied that he hadn't seen much of her and asked what he thought she told him. Jake/Jason then told him that he couldn’t trust his memories then asked if he could do something now and forget about it tomorrow. Jake/Jason then wondered if what he was recalling could be a real memory. When Patrick speculated that Jake/Jason was no doctor or lawyer, Jake backtracked.

At GH, Nathan told Maxie that Alexis wanted her to meet her at the courthouse because Judge Walters wanted to say something to her. Maxie didn’t want to give Judge Walters another opportunity to break her heart and told Nathan he could tell Alexis and she could relay whatever he said back to her. Nathan pushed her to go to the courthouse anyway to see what the judge wanted to say and Maxie reluctantly agreed.

At the courthouse, Maxie met with Alexis, who said Judge Walters was taken away by another case. Maxie thought she’d blown it again. Then, Alexis told her that Judge Walters reversed his ruling and that she could see her daughter!

Sam opened her door to Elizabeth, who wanted to talk about Jake/Jason. She told Sam it was absurd that she believed Jake/Jason took her hostage. Sam pointed out that Elizabeth didn’t know him very well. Then, they argued. Elizabeth hollered at Sam to back off, but she said that she couldn’t. Sam then reminded Elizabeth that Jason was gone because of Faison. She then added that Lucky came back but Jason never would. Elizabeth fired back that Jake/Jason was her friend. Sam replied that she knew he did it and couldn’t understand the hold he had on Elizabeth, but then realized that Elizabeth was falling for him. Elizabeth insisted they were friends. Sam then commented on Elizabeth’s history of unsavory men. They then argued over their past desperate acts to hang onto men. Elizabeth then threw up her hands saying that none of it had to do with Jake/Jason. Sam agreed, “Jake is no Jason,” Sam said. Elizabeth then said that they would sue her if she kept up the accusations. Sam fired back that would do whatever she had to do and was determined to prove that Jake/Jason was a criminal.

At the jail, Franco asked Anna why Nina was moved. He learned Nina had a run-in with Ava and was also given a sedative. Franco didn’t think she looked okay. Then, Anna left. Nina then told Franco, "You lied to me." Franco apologized for failing her. He told Nina that she was maybe the only friend he ever had and she couldn’t turn her back on him. Nina felt it was irrelevant since they wouldn’t beat the charges against them and this was probably the last time they would see each other. Franco still thought there was hope for them. He promised to stick by her no matter what.

In the interrogation area, Anna removed Jordan's handcuffs. Jordan said if the investigation was ongoing she was no longer a part of it. Anna felt there was still more work for her to do. They then discussed Faison's escape. Anna said they had a bigger priority. She wanted Jordan to find Ric. They discussed why Ric might be important to Julian. Anna then wanted Jordan to get in with Julian and Carlos. She pointed out that she would be a hero in TJ’s eyes for bringing his girlfriend's father back. Jordan smiled at that. "You play dirty." She then said that she was in. Anna then met with Alexis upstairs. She assured her that they would find Ric. Alexis then went to the cells and told Nina that her brother sent her. "I'm here to help." Nina wouldn't let Alexis represent her unless she also represented Franco.

Carlos and Julian joined Shawn and Duke at The Metro Court restaurant. Duke said he had instructions from Sonny to agree to their terms so Ric could be released. He then warned it was just one round they had won and they would get what they deserved. Julian replied that they would get Ric back when he was satisfied they had Sonny's territory and not a moment sooner. Jordan then stopped Julian and Carlos as they exited. "Are we back to work?" She wanted to know everything she's missed. Meanwhile, Duke told Shawn that he would string them along to give him time to find Ric.

At GH, Jake/Jason told Elizabeth that he met with Patrick and may never get his memories back.

At the courthouse, Nina and Franco had their separate arraignments. Alexis agreed to represent Nina and Nina asked her to thank James (Nathan.) Then, Alexis refused to represent Franco and handed him off to another attorney. The judge ruled that Nina be sent to a psychiatric facility for evaluation. Franco’s lawyer went for an insanity defense, but the judge didn’t buy it. She reminded them that he was deemed sane and exonerated of his earlier crimes because his actions were the result of a brain tumor, which was removed. She then ordered him to be jailed in Pentonville. Nina then got frantic that she and Franco would never be a “family” again as guards dragged them away from each other in opposite directions.

At the Jerome Gallery, Jordan called Julian hoping he’d give up Ric’s whereabouts. He wouldn’t. Then, she called Anna to tell her that Julian wouldn’t give up any info. Then, Shawn showed up thinking Jordan was right back to working for Julian. Jordan tried brushing him off. Meanwhile, Carlos appeared, but hid when he saw Jordan and Shawn together.

At GH, Silas told Kiki and Morgan the paternity test results. The baby had none of Carly’s DNA, so she was Sonny’s daughter. Morgan was crushed! Kiki tried to comfort him, saying that they were going to be raising the baby since Ava and Sonny were both going to be in prison so the baby would love Morgan just as though he was her father. Morgan was still heartbroken, but then kissed Kiki and she kissed him back!

In Pentonville, Johnny received a call from Carlos that Shawn was asking questions about Ric’s whereabouts, which was against Johnny’s deal with Sonny. So, Johnny ordered Carlos to kill Ric. Johnny then told Sonny that he had signed Ric’s death warrant. Sonny then attacked Johnny with a sharpened toothbrush, but before he could do anything, Franco appeared and stopped him.

At the garage, Carlos put a silencer on his gun, opened the car trunk and was ready to kill Ric. Before he could do the deed, Shawn and Jordan busted in with their guns fixed on him and ordered him to stop.
