At the courthouse, Nina thanked Alexis for being such a great lawyer. Alexis then said that she wasn’t going to represent Franco though. This made both Nina and Franco furious. Alexis then reminded them of Franco's crimes against Sam. Then, another lawyer, Henry Sullivan arrived to represent Franco. Alexis then presented medical records and requested a psychological assessment. The judge agreed. Franco's lawyer then entered the same plea. The judge was less convinced and rejected the plea. The judge then reminded him of his brain tumor and its removal. She also said that he was a flight risk so he was going to Pentonville. This freaked Nina out and was dragged out of the courtroom screaming.
Jordan searched the gallery for evidence of Ric’s whereabouts, but came up empty. Then, Shawn appeared. He accused her of being in cahoots with the Jeromes. She then gave Julian a call, but he played dumb as to Ric’s whereabouts, but then admitted that had she nabbed him. As she probed, Carlos arrived. He ducked around the corner and eavesdropped. Jordan wanted to call the cops, but Shawn urged her to let him take care of this.
At Pentonville, Johnny got a call from Carlos about Jordan's betrayal. He kicked off at Sonny and then vows that Ric was dead. Sonny then grabbed Johnny and whipped out his sharpened toothbrush. Suddenly, Franco appeared and interrupted.
Maxie arrived in Nathan's hospital room while he was on the phone arranging something for her. Then, Alexis called to fill him in and explained that she was having a meeting with Judge Walters. Maxie pouted about that and refused to go down to the courthouse to join Alexis. Nathan told her not to give up and urged to go. Maxie then relented and left for the courthouse.
Meanwhile, Morgan, Kiki and Carly arrived at GH, eager to get the paternity test results. Silas explained that Morgan wasn’t the father of Ava’s baby. Morgan was crushed. "You’re gonna be a good big brother," Silas said. Carly then assured Morgan that he would have been a great father. Kiki told him how screwed up both Sonny and Ava were and pointed out that since they were both in prison, it would up to them to look after the baby. He thanked her for being there for him then kissed her and she didn’t pull away. Back down the hall, Carly pondered what to do next.
Maxie arrived at the court house. Alexis informed her that Judge Walters had reversed his ruling, which meant that she see her daughter, Georgie for Christmas.
Carlos went to Johnny's garage. He was about to shoot Ric when Shawn and Jordan burst in with their guns drawn.
Maxie burst into Nathan's hospital room with her big news. She gushed that her Christmas wish had come true. She then asked him why the judge changed his mind. He then handed her Christmas gift. It was a pair of limited edition shoes. He slipped them onto her feet and then they kissed. Nathan then assured her that they would have a New Year's to remember.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in GH, Jake/Jason ran into Carly by the elevators. She worried about the baby and telling Sonny he was the father. He offered to go and tell him the news. Carly was sure she could find another way and thanked him for listening.
At Pentonville, Franco popped up and interrupted Sonny as he was lunging at Johnny. Once they were alone, Sonny then told Franco that he would have to pay the price for what he did. He then recounted everything that Franco had done to his family. Sonny then threatened to have Franco raped a bunch of times and then kill him slowly. Franco replied that he wasn't afraid. Sonny then shoved his shiv in Franco's pocket as a guard came in. The guard nabbed him for having the makeshift weapon him dragged him off to solitary. Then, Johnny returned to bicker more with Sonny.
Carlos was about to shoot Ric in Johnny's garage when Jordan and Shawn rushed in. Carlos eventually caved under the pressure and walked out, warning Jordan that she was as good as dead. Shawn then ungagged Ric and he and Jordan helped him out of the trunk. They wanted to take him to GH to get checked out, but Ric refused and said he was eager to go home.
Molly showed up at Sam's and helped Sam finish wrapping the Christmas gifts as Alexis arrived. Alexis tipped Sam off about Ric possibly being alive. Sam thought Molly should know. Molly returned when she said this so Alexis had to explain, but before she could get to the point, Ric showed up. Molly was beyond ecstatic.
Julian dropped by the gallery. “Luke” was there. He then explained that he wasn’t the real Luke. "You don't recognize your old partner in crime?" “Luke” asked. Then, Carlos walked in to tip them off about Jordan. “Luke” wasn't impressed. He then ordered Julian to kill Jordan, telling him that he knew where Jordan was hiding out. Eventually, “Luke” handed him a gun and ordered him to go out and kill her.
Later, at the Gallery, Alexis showed up to see Julian. She told him goodbye and then walked off in tears.
At Sam’s apartment, Molly urged Ric to go see Elizabeth. After Ric left, TJ dropped by to see Molly. She told him the good news about Ric. TJ gave her a gift, which she loved and then she said that she loved him too.
Maxie arrived in Portland and finally saw her daughter.
At GH, the children gathered to hear the Christmas story. Suddenly, the lights in the hospital flickered and Obrecht appeared dressed up like a monster. Patrick and Nikolas confronted her and she explained she was educating the children about Krumpus, a Christmas monster who ate bad little children. All the children screamed at the story, all but Josslyn, who loved it. Nikolas put an end to story of Krumpus and had Monica bring out Santa for the kids. Sam went to talk to Patrick, who surprised her with a gift, a keychain for all her silly putty keys she made while on the job. They later shared a kiss under the mistletoe.
Elsewhere in GH, Obrecht saw Nathan up and around and thought he should stay in bed. He thanked her for making it possible for Maxie to see her daughter. He then asked how she got Judge Walters to change his mind? Obrecht remembered going to Monica and threatening to replace her as chief of cardiology if she didn’t get the judge to change his mind. Obrecht then told Nathan that she simply motivated Monica. He thanked Obrecht again and said, “Merry Christmas Mom.” Obrecht then cried and then begins singing “The First Noel.”
Elsewhere in GH, Judge Walters showed up to see Monica. She remembered having to withhold affection from him in order to make him reverse his decision. Monica still wondered why he was so harsh with Maxie and she thought it had to do with his own daughter Kayla. It turned out Judge Walters had a troubled daughter, who he always bailed out of trouble and never punished. His daughter ended up dying in an accident after drunk driving one night. The judge then told Monica that he didn’t want Maxie to go through life breaking all the rules like Kayla did.
Jake/Jason and Elizabeth returned to her house, where they found mistletoe hanging over her doorway. Jake/Jason admitted that he helped Cameron make and hang it. As Jake/Jason was about to kiss her, Ric showed up. Elizabeth was overjoyed and ran into his arms. He then added that his feelings for her hadn’t changed and that he was hoping they could start again. The two then kissed as Jake/Jason spied on them from the door.
Ric showed up at Elizabeth’s to question Jake/Jason. Moments later, Elizabeth arrived home. Jake/Jason then announces that he was moving out.
Shawn joined Duke in The Metro Court restaurant. They recapped what happened with Ric, Then, Alexis dropped by and thanked them for reuniting Molly and Ric. Then, Ric arrived and thanked Shawn and Duke, explaining that he wanted no part of the mob war and just wanted a quiet life with Molly and Elizabeth.
Anna dropped by Jordan's hotel room with Dante. They then asked her to keep her cover, work for them, and go to work for Duke so that they could take Sonny’s organization down. As soon as Anna and Dante left Jordan’s hotel room, Julian showed up.
In Portland, Spinelli noticed that her flight home had been canceled due to fog. She called Nathan to say that she wouldn't be able to make it back tonight. Once she got off the phone, she complained to Spinelli about how everything kept going wrong for her and Nathan, but she was determined to see him for New Year’s.
Back at his place, Nathan was determined not to let fog get in his way. He complained to Lulu about how things kept going wrong with Maxie and how he was determined to see her tonight.
Nathan arrived at Spinelli's place in Portland. Spinelli was impressed by his gallantry, but explained that Maxie was gone.
Maxie arrived at home and found it empty.
