TV personality Rush Limbaugh made headlines for his comments surrounding Idris Elba playing James Bond in the popular feature film franchise.

Limbaugh spoke out about the possible casting choice of Elba playing Bond on his show The Rush Limbaugh Show, CBS News reported. "James Bond is a total concept put together by Ian Fleming," Limbaugh said. "He was white and Scottish. Period. That is who James Bond is, was."
Limbaugh went on to say that even he recognized that his comments by racist but "that's not who James Bond is."
Now Idris Elba is taking to Twitter to respond to these comments. The Luther star posted a picture of himself on Twitter with the caption, "Isn't 007 supposed to handsome? Glad you think I've got a shot! Happy New year people," Just Jared added.
Elba has gone on record saying that if the part was offered to him, he would be very interested in taking over the Bond franchise from Daniel Craig who currently plays 007. During the Sony hacks it was released that the next Bond film would be called Spectre. The script for the film was also leaked during the cyber hack.
