As the San Francisco 49ers’ season has taken a downward spiral the last few weeks, the whirlwind of where Jim Harbaugh will be coaching next season has picked up.

Harbaugh, who will be a prized acquisition, will be pursued by several NFL organizations and potentially some premier college football teams, such as Michigan, who has already reached out to the 49ers and Harbaugh. He has one year remaining on his five-year, $25 million contract, reports KTVU.
Some Michigan officials, including Athletic Director Jim Hackett, have flown to California to meet with Harbaugh.
While there will be much speculation about Harbaugh’s future after the 49ers’ regular-season finale on Dec. 28 against the Arizona Cardinals, he seems to be excited and eager to soak in the remaining time he has with his current players and organization.
"I'm going to enjoy the players that I really enjoy being around,” he said, according to USA Today Sports. “I'm going to enjoy the coaches and have a lot of fun coaching this ballgame and want to win it. I want our team to have the good feeling of winning and feel good about ourselves."
San Francisco holds a 7-8 record and will miss the playoffs for the first time in Harbaugh’s four-year tenure. In the other three years, the team has advanced to the NFC Championship Game each year and appeared in one Super Bowl.
