Jordin Sparks is turning to music to voice her thoughts about her ex-boyfriend, Jason Derulo.
Sparks recently spoke about the newly released song that slams her ex-boyfriend, singer Jason Derulo. The new song is a remix of Drake’s “How Bout Now" and the American Idol winner admitted that she did experience some nerves before releasing the track. According to E! News, while promoting Microsoft Lumia’s Make It Happen campaign, the singer said "I was nervous to put it out there because no one had ever heard me like this before."
The track will be featured on her upcoming album, Right Here, Right Now, according to E! News. Sparks sings, "Feeling like I have to get all of this off my chest, I know you are sitting there thinking ‘What is she going to do next?'/ Remember I deleted all my other guys' numbers out my phone for ya?/ Remember when you broke your neck and I had to wash your back for ya?/ You probably don't remember half of the s--t that I did for ya."
During an appearance on 105.1, Derulo denied the rumor that cheating played a part in their break-up but did admit that he does happen to check on Sparks via social media to see what she is up to. "So, um, you know, you wanna remain friends but man, that's hard, that's hard, that's hard. You know, like, I catch myself like, looking at her Instagram and seeing what she's doing and stuff...'cause I love her. You know what I'm saying? Like, I love her. You just don't fall out of love with somebody like that,” he said in the interview.
According to E! News, Sparks revealed that she has not heard from Derulo since releasing the track two weeks ago. She even told E! that she is “probably in the best place” she’s been in for years. She elaborated on that statement saying, “I feel like I am in the best place mentally, spiritually, physically, emotionally…Everything just feels really good."
Sparks and Derulo split up back in September after dating for 3 years.
