Kaley Cuoco doesn’t consider herself a feminist, but she does lean towards the more traditional role as a wife in her marriage to Ryan Sweeting.
The Big Bang Theory star is one of the highest paid actresses one of the most successful shows on television, but she likes to take care of her husband when she’s at home.
She told the February issue of Redbook feminism isn’t “really something I think about,” mostly because she hasn’t experienced any injustice as a woman.
"Things are different now, and I know a lot of the work that paved the way for women happened before I was around,” she said. “I was never that feminist girl demanding equality, but maybe that's because I've never really faced inequality.”
She continued on about her marriage, for which she will celebrate a 1-year anniversary on Wednesday, saying she cooks for him “five nights a week.”
“It makes me feel like a housewife; I love that,” she explained. “I know it sounds old-fashioned, but I like the idea of women taking care of their men. I'm so in control of my work that I like coming home and serving him. My mom was like that, so I think it kind of rubbed off."
Thankfully for her, it goes both ways. As she recovers from sinus surgery, she gushed on Instagram that Sweeting has been right by her side through it all.
“Coming out of sinus surgery and the first thing I see is my beautiful angel of a man, hes right there . Always,” she gushed. “He's taking amazing care of me. i love my noodle. Hes perfection."
