Actress Kate Hudson is a single woman again.
Hudson, 35, and fiancé Matthew Bellamy have called off their engagement after four years together. Bellamy’s rep confirmed to E! News saying, "Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now. Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents."
The blogosphere quickly wondered if someone else is to blame, or if Hudson quickly moved on.
The former couple began dating in 2010 and got engaged in April 2011. Three months after their engagement, the duo welcomed their first child together, a son named Bingham.
The couple’s last red-carpet appearance together was just last month at the LACMA Art + Film Gala. While on the red-carpet, Hudson revealed Thanksgiving Day plans that did include her now former fiancé, Bellamy. "It's about 20-plus of us all together. We watch football with the kids,” she told E! News.
For the September issue of Women’s Health magazine, Hudson (who is known for her healthy habits) opened up about her long engagement, her mother Goldie Hawn’s relationship with Kurt Russell, and how she thinks that marriage isn’t the “golden ticket.” She said, "My parents aren't married. And one of the reasons why they never got married is because they had been married before and they liked it the way it was. They didn't feel like they needed a piece of paper to be committed.” She added, “So for me, I know that marriage is not a golden ticket."
The Glee actress has another son, 10-year-old Ryder, with her ex-husband Chris Robinson. Hudson and Robinson were married from 2000-2007.
