Kate Hudson and her fiancé, Matthew Bellamy, have called it quits after four years together and one child.

Their last public appearance was late last month at Hudson’s mother Goldie Hawn’s "Love In For Kids" charity event, but a rep for the actress confirmed they split some time ago.

"Kate and Matt have been separated for some time now," her rep told People. "Despite this, they remain very close friends and committed co-parents."

Hudson and the Muse frontman started dating in 2010 and announced their engagement in April 2011. They welcomed their son, Bingham ‘Bing’ Hawn Bellamy that July.

The How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days star, 35, also has a 10-year-old son, Ryder, with her ex-husband Chris Robinson; whom she was married to from 2000-2006.

“My parents aren't married and one of the reasons why they never got married is because they had been married before and they liked it the way it was,” she recently told Women’s Health about her mom and stepdad, Kurt Russell. “They didn't feel like they needed a piece of paper to be committed. So for me, I know that marriage is not a golden ticket."
