Hold onto your dancing shoes! Len Goodman has announced he will be leaving the popular show Dancing With The Stars.

Digital Spy notes Goodman told them that the season this coming spring would be his last on the show. He said, “Next year, I’m not going to do the flying backwards and forwards- I’m not going to do the American show…I’ve got to have a bit of time off.”

He cited needing time with his family, including his wife and son, and his mother who is currently in the hospital. Goodman has not been able to spend time with her and he said the time off was so he could “get on with a normal life.”

Goodman also said co-host Bruno Tonioli will stay on for the American show and British show Strictly Come Dancing. He said he would continue to stick with the latter show, saying “I will do Strictly as long as they want me.”

E! News reported that the news comes along with other comings and goings the show has seen. Professional dancer Julianne Hough became a judge for DWTS and dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy ended his 18th and final season with a win.

Plus, host Tom Bergeron, who has stuck with the series for ten years, has a new co-host Erin Andrews after losing three previous co-hosts Lisa Canning, Samantha Harris, and Brooke Burke-Charvet.
