Back in June, it was announced filmmakers Cameron Crowe (Almost Famous) and J.J. Abrams were executive producing a pilot for Showtime called Roadies, but word on the project has been quite since then. That's changed now, though, for it's been revealed Luke Wilson and Imogen Poots have signed on to star in two undisclosed parts.

The casting news comes from The Wrap. No word on who they will be playing on the show has been revealed, just that they are finishing up deals to star in the pilot.

Crowe is not the showrunner—those duties belong to Winnie Holzman (My So-Called Life)—but there was word earlier this year that Crowe may direct the pilot. None of the reports on the matter say if he has decided, however. Roadies follows the day-to-day life of crew members behind a successful rock tour. While the series would have half-hour episodes if it got picked up—and it's hard to imagine Showtime passing on this— the pilot will be an hour long.

Wilson, last seen in this year's The Skeleton Twins, can be seen in Playing It Cool, Ride, Dear Eleanor and Meadowland next year. Poots, meanwhile, starred in Filth, That Awkward Moment, Need for Speed, Jimi: All is By My Side and A Long Way Down this year, and has She's Funny That Way, Knights of Cup, A Country Called Home, Frank & Lola and Green Room coming out in 2015.
