Michael Phelps has entered a guilty plea in his DUI case, appearing in a Baltimore, Maryland courtroom on Friday.
The winningest Olympian in history got his second DUI in September – his first was in 2004 – and he checked into rehab shortly after.
As expected, Phelps didn’t get jail time for his second offense, which came almost 10 years after his first.
According to TMZ, he got sentenced to 18 months of probation and his license is suspended for one year. He has to stay out of trouble for the time he’s on probation or his penalty will be a 1-year jail sentence.
Phelps was accompanied by his mother, sister and girlfriend Nicole Johnson.
As we previously reported a woman named Taylor Lianne Chandler, 41, who was born a man, claimed to be his girlfriend last month.
Phelps, 29, announced he was coming out of retirement in April. He is currently serving a six-month ban from, but is expected to compete in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
