Miley Cyrus loves smoking marijuana and she’s not hiding it from anyone. The pop star is in Miami, Fla. this week for Art Basel, where she took the stage at the Raleigh Hotel in South Beach.
In addition to performing with a topless woman, covering Led Zeppelin and making fun of her own music, she smoked weed onstage.
"You thought (Art Basel) was a respected place where you could escape me," she said, explaining why she performed mostly covers, including the Beatles’ “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds,” Fox News reports.
"Usually I don't smoke weed and drink, well that's a lie,” she told attendees. “Usually I don't smoke weed and drink on show days, but I felt like it was fine in Miami.”
She also talked about her difficult year following a highly buzzed about image change after her MTV Video Music Awards performance with Robin Thicke. She said the year “constantly challenged me,” which inspired her to take up art.
Her choice of outfit was also a hot topic today, E! Online reports.
She hit the stage in a metallic wig, shiny nipple pasties and high-wasted silver, sparkly tights with a thong over them. She later told fans on Instagram she stole a mesh shirt from a stripper during her after party shenanigans, which her boyfriend Patrick Schwarzenegger joined her for.
