New York Fashion Week has been held at Lincoln Center for the past four years, but starting in 2015 it will move elsewhere.
A settlement has been made between the city and advocates for Damrosch Park, which lies adjacent to the building.
An insider told New York Post that the city is scouting locations to move it somewhere downtown.
If Fashion Week were to renew their contract with Lincoln Center, they would’ve remained there through 2010.
IMG’s Catherine Bennett confirmed this to The Hollywood Reporter, back in September.
According to Supreme Court Justice Margaret Chan’s ruling on Tuesday, “IMG Fashion Week shall vacate the premises andremove all tents and other Fashion Week equipment from the park.”
The reason for the relocation is due to opposition from NYC Parks Advocates, who sued New York’s Parks Department last year.
Geoffrey Croft of NYC Park Advocates said, “Damrosch Park belongs to the City of New York not Lincoln Center.”
