So, Back to the future - Part II got a few things wrong about our future, but the folks at NBC’s Parks and Recreation hope that their vision of the future is a bit more realistic.
The trailer for the beloved, little-watched sitcom’s final season was posted at Entertainment Weekly on Tuesday and confirms that the show is picking up where the flash-forward in season 6’s finale left off.
Jerry is still Terry (Jim O’Heir), Tom (Aziz Ansari) is now a mogul and Andy (Chris Pratt) stars in a show as Johnny Karate. Leslie (Amy Poehler) and Ben (Adam Scott) are also surprised to see a drone at their doorstep. (See Amazon, your plan will work!) Ron (Nick Offerman) is still easily annoyed and April (Aubrey Plaza) is still bored by everyone.
NBC finally scheduled Parks and Rec’s final season earlier this month. The network will air two episodes a week, beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 8 p.m. The finale will air on Tuesday, Feb. 24 after The Voice.
The season will feature the return of Jon Hamm, as incompetent Parks employee Ed, and Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe.
