Reese Witherspoon appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night and the duo sang some modernized Christmas carols.

The game was called “Random Phrase Carols,” which meant they both had to sing a classic Christmas carol tune with random words as lyrics.

When Witherspoon got “Silent Night,” she started singing the melody to “Jingle Bells,” so Fallon jumped in to help her a bit.

E! Online reports they even joined forces for a duet of a random lyric song set to the tune of “Deck the Halls.”

Although she didn’t exactly show off Grammy-award winning vocals, Witherspoon did win an Oscar for the film Walk the Line, during which she proved she can sing, as June Carter Cash.

Witherspoon has been garnering awards season buzz for her role in Wild, which is based on Cheryl Strayed's memoir.

"It's a true story. It really happened. Her mother died and she got divorced and she just fell apart,” she told Fallon. “She decided she was going to walk 1,000 miles from the Mohave desert to the border of Washington. And she did it all by herself—totally alone—for 94 days."
