Today in London, the producers of the James Bond franchise, along with director Sam Mendes, announced the cast and title for the 24th film in the iconic franchise starring Ian Fleming’s famous spy.
Bond 24 will officially be known as Spectre, MGM and Sony announced.
During the announcement at Pinewood Studios, the full cast and crew was announced, confirming plenty of rumors. Christoph Waltz will, indeed, play the villain, named Oberhauser. For the second straight Bond movie, the Bond Girl will be played by a French actress and this time, it’s Blue Is The Warmest color star Lea Seydoux. Her character’s name is Madeleine Swann.
Italian actress Monica Bellucci will play Lucia Sciarra, while Guardians of the Galaxy’s David Bautista will be Mr. Hinx. Sherlock’s Andrew Scott will play Denbigh.
The returning cast includes Daniel Craig as Bond, Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Moneypenny, Rory Kinnear as Tanner and Ben Whishaw as Q.
Mendes also unveiled Bond’s new car, an Aston Martin DB10.
Mendes directed Skyfall in 2012, which became the first Bond movie to win Oscars and is the highest-grossing film in the franchise. He was officially hired to help Spectre in July 2013.
Spectre hits theaters in the U.S. on Nov. 6, 2015.
