Sony Pictures could clearly use the help of experts at this point, having even been scolded by President Obama for the way they handled North Korea’s hackers. To try and remedy their situation, they’ve hired the real-life Olivia Pope from ABC’s Scandal, Judy Smith.

Smith is a PR maven and an authority on crisis management. She’s played by Kerry Washington on the hit show, for which she also served as co-executive producer.

The Hollywood Reporter reports before she started her own firm, Smith worked as the deputy press secretary for President George H.W. Bush.

After President Obama said it was a “mistake” for Sony to cancel the release of The Interview during a press conference on Friday, Sony released a statement saying it wasn’t only their decision.

“The decision not to move forward with the December 25 theatrical release of The Interview was made as a result of the majority of the nation's theater owners
choosing not to screen the film. This was their decision,” the statement reads.
