While TNT hasn’t said anything yet, DC Comics Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns confirmed on Twitter that the pilot for a Teen Titans live action series will be filmed next year.
Back in September it was first reported that Warner horizon Television was teaming up with Akiva Goldsman and Marc Haimes to produce a series called just Titans. It isn’t known what members the TV show will include, but it is likely that Dick Grayson - better known as Robin and later Nightwing - will be their leader, as he has been in previous incarnations.
Superherohype reported that a fan asked Johns if he had any updates on the series. “We shoot the pilot next year,” he wrote, later adding, “Long time coming to get Nightwing to live action...!”
So, based on that response, it looks like we'll be seeing Nightwing on the screen finally. Other members of the Titans team include Beast Boy, Aqualad, Superboy, Cyborg, Raven, Wonder Girl and Starfire. Cartoon Network has aired two cartoon shows based on the team, Teen Titans Go! and Young Justice.
The Titans update came just after Warner Horizon announced plans for a SyFy Superman prequel series called Krypton.
