Prince George got to have a special visit with Santa while on an outing with his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The visit, which was held at Santa’s Magical Journey in Thursford where his parents make their home in Norfolk, was a surprise to staff members as they didn’t learn about the royal visit until close to the day, Daily Mail reported.

The family took a tour of the attraction with bodyguards who were discreet so they could just enjoy the sights. For the little Prince, the excitement was all about the animals, such as penguins and animated reindeer, that he as, as well as the elves and twinkling lights.

Besides visiting with Santa, Prince George also was given a present, a wooden train. Prince William and Kate waited patiently among the crowds in order to see the exhibit.

The general manager, Geraldine Rye, spoke of the visit saying, “George seemed to have a lovely time. When I saw him, he was walking around. It was a private visit and they were not given any special treatment.”

It was also reported that no one bothered the royal family as they took the time to see all of the sights.

People reported that the exhibit is around 18 miles from Anmer Hall, which is the couple’s country home.

The Prince, wearing a jacket with a tie, and Kate, who had on a brown jacket, a cream-colored dress, and knee-high boots, gave Santa’s elves their best wishes for the Christmas season.
