The location for AMC’s The Walking Dead companion series has been revealed. there will be much more separating the new series from the original than just new characters.
TV Line reports that the new series, which has already been ordered to pilot, will be set in Los Angeles. Maybe they can get Bill Murray back in his Zombieland make-up?
Seriously though, the series will give an entirely new perspective on the zombie apocalypse, since the current series is based around Atlanta. TV Line notes that AMC already teased that the show will take place during the early days of the apocalypse, so it may give a better look at how it started.
There’s still no word if the new series will actually be filmed on location, like The Walking Dead.
Casting for The Walking Dead companion series began earlier this month. Cliff Curtis of Gang Related earned the male lead role, while Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam will co-star. Curtis will play Sean Cabrera, a teacher who shares a son with his ex-wife.
The series is widely expected to get a series order, although the show is still at the pilot stage.
