Sean Bean survived one season of Legends and will get a chance to test his character’s mortality for another season. TNT renewed the FBI crime drama for next summer.

The network announced today that Legends has received a 10-episode second season, which will begin next year.

Legends centers on the FBI’s Deep Cover Operations division, with Bean starring as agent Martin Odum. For each case, he has to completely change himself into another person, but he soon questions who exactly his “real” self is. Other members of the cast include Ali Larter, Tina Majorino, Mason Cook, Steve Harris and Morris Chestnut.

The series is based on the book by Robert Littell and is produced by Fox 21. Homeland’s Howard Gordon is the executive producer.

TNT picked up the show in 2013 and the series debuted to strong ratings in August. The first episode drew 2.6 million total viewers during its premiere.

Bean is best known for his role in the Lord of the Rings films and played Ned Stark during the first season of Game of Thrones.

As for TNT, the network is in a state of flux at the moment, since it is now under the leadership of former Fox chief Kevin Reilly. In his first moves, Reilly has cancelled Franklin & Bash and Perception.

The Last Ship and Murder in the First were previously renewed, notes The Hollywood Reporter. Falling Skies and Major Crimes will also be returning.
